Cycling adventures

Cycling enthusiasts will be anything but disappointed by Marling and its surroundings. Family-friendly cycle paths and challenging mountain passes promise fun on two wheels for beginners and professionals alike. In sun-kissed South Tyrol, even the weather is no problem. And what could be nicer than pedalling through light-flooded forest paths and green meadows when the sun sets in the mountains?

We suggest you take the Vinschgau railway to Mals and cycle back along the Etsch river.
You can rent bikes at the Oberwirt or at the train station.

Cycling fun for everyone

The well-developed network of cycle paths makes South Tyrol a paradise for amateur cyclists and mountain bikers.
The Etsch cycling path along the Via Claudia Augusta leads through varied landscapes and offers numerous attractions along the way.
If you follow the cycle path southwards from the bustling capital of Bolzano, you will reach the Mediterranean Lake Kaltern and the lakes of Monticolo.
Adventurous mountain bikers will also appreciate the attractive tours with different levels of difficulty. Freeriders, amateur cyclists and families will find plenty to do on the trails around Monte San Vigilio and in the Vinschgau Valley.
