Marlengo – the apple paradise in the heart of South Tyrol

Various cultivars of the fruit of paradise are grown here making Marlengo the heartland of fruity indulgence. However the little neighbour of Merano offers not only an abundance of apples but also provides relaxation seekers with a variety of options for escapism. Numerous hiking routes also take visitors to idyllically secluded spots in the countryside.

High above Marlengo, in the middle of Cermes vineyards, is Lebenberg Castle, one of the largest complete castles in South Tyrol. The bells of the Marlengo parish church are said to have inspired Franz Liszt to compose music.
